I remember playing and finishing this game circa year 2005-2007 in my old PS1, and achieved both good and bad endings. As fas as I can remember, I did not grind the game and just went ahead and battled Astral with a highest level character with level 36 or 37 (probably Ryu), and it was one of the toughest final bosses I have played in any RPG. Seeing that you have all your characters at level 99 is amazing! Nonetheless, a great game during its time. Such nostalgia!

It looks like LegaiaRules, one of the founders of the FM translation group and the one that wrote the majority of the guides were stretching the truth. That dialogue about Crow calling his teammates to radio the others never happened, which meant LegaiaRules made that whole part up. Frankly, this "Crow" just doesn't feel like Royd at all (granted, appearance wise he's definitely a better match than that ponytail street punk) For one thing, his callsign is Robust-2A, if he was the real Royd there's no reason he wouldn't be using his old callsign Shrike. The same applies to Ryuji and Keith.
